Desde que Henry Flagler construiu a estrada de ferro, tornando possível o caminho desde Palm Beach à Key West na virada do século XX, Miami sempre foi conhecida pelos turistas do mudo todo como um destino de clima agradável para férias na praia. Mais ou menos há 25 anos atrás, a cidade começou a mudar. Primeiramente o mundo Fashion internacional descobriu que lá era um perfeito lugar para tirar fotos para glamorosas revistas. Após isso, a indústria musical começou a gravar também clipes das mais famosas músicas na região. Nisso foi quando o mundo começou a perceber que Miami era a localização perfeita para diversão banhada de muito sol, destinada a todos os tipos de pessoas.

Em 2011, 71.406 novos residentes se mudaram para Miami, 35.215 vindos de outros países, enquanto que 36.191 provenientes de outras cidades dos USA. De acordo com o U.S Census Bureau, a área metropolitana é a oitava mais populosa dos Estados Unidos, com uma população de aproximadamente 5,5 milhões de pessoas.
Logo após a chegada de James à cidade, ele percebeu que lá era o lugar que ele queria viver e que gostaria de fazer parte do desenvolvimento daquela cidade. Later in the 50’s and 60’sregular tourists from up North of the East Coast of the United States came with their cars to south Florida.It became affordable to stay in a good Motel along Biscayne Boulevard between midtown and North Miami. After this busy time for South Florida, Miami became famous for older people to retire in the Sunshine State and especially Miami Beach got the reputation to be a retirement home.
Then about 25 years ago Miami began to change. First the international Fashion world discovered Miami as the perfect spot to take photo shoots for the glamorous magazines. Later the Music industry came to shoot videos for the most popular songs in the charts.
This is when the world began to realize that Miami is a perfect location for fun in the Sun for people from all walks of live.
About twelve years ago James Basílio moved from Manaus Amazon to the Capital of South Florida. Around that same time Miami began to change drastically. International developers and real estate magnates started to change the City from an American provincial town to the Metropolitan city.
